Kramer Junction is also known as Four Corners is the largest solar electric generating plant in the world.
This plant produces a maximum of 354mw megawatts of electricity. It is located on the North West corner of Kramer Junction, California.
The solar energy generating facility produces electricity for the Southern California Edison power grid.
In 1897, the Randsburg Railway in Johannesburg connected the Sante Fe tracks of 28 miles the south near
Kramer Junction. It was used to ship ore by rail to Barstow, Mojave and Los Angeles. The rail line closed in 1933 as the demand for
ore declined.
